It seems feeling sick is a trend on this blog, I'm not feeling too hot right now!
So, I waited around at the end of last week. They said they were delivering the Jeep 3 seperate times, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday... and as soon as I gave up and was walking out the door to go to the coffee break, the guy called "Hello Kelly? I'll be there in an hour." Yeah thanks, I won't! So my dad welcomed "my baby" home.
Crazy weekend: coffee break at 5 on Friday. Saturday brought fun times with Tony at the beach. The two random people that sat pretty much on top of us were hysterical. I don't think I have ever heard people with more dry senses of humor. The reoccurring questions were: "You're having a good time today, right?" "Do you wanna go in the water?" "Do you think I need to put on more lotion?" "Did you notice my haircut?" "Do you want to go to Willimantic?"... Then let's not forget "You guys go to UCONN?" Yeah, what gave it away? "The towel." Oh. And finally... "I'm not looking forward to the traffic on the way home?" What is there, some sort of gridlock going on? "No we have relatives there." Oh, whelp, see ya later... Good conversations, silly conversations, tons of traffic, but all in all, a great day. Thanks Tone.
Sunday night brought "Drama Lite" to Southbridge. To one of my very best friends going through a really tough time: Be strong. You will make it! I love you sweety. The tears will stop. You've got all of the girls here for you, we won't let you fall, I promise.
Monday I thought I would get the chance to sleep in... Until Celeste (my boss) called at 7:30... I had to work! I swear that daycare center knows when I have gotten less than 4 hours of sleep in one night... let alone one weekend! I was so tired, but the kids were fun. Except for the new one... wow, what a fight. I love working there. Monday night was craft night with the girls! Katie, Munch, Lisa and I made memory boards! It was so much fun, it took about 4 hours, but we had a great time and the end result was just plain "haught": They came out really well! Can't wait to put it up in my room, girls!
Today I PUT MY JEEP ON THE ROAD! I think I drove for about 7 hours straight after, but hey, it was worth it. The thing rides so nice, and it shifts like a dream. I am a very happy camper. I went to CT and visited Derek and Joe at Derek's new place: Very cool. Thanks for the anklet, D, it rocks! It was good to see them.
Tonight was Ronnie's for dinner with the girls. We then hit up WalMart in Oxford... where I ran into my friend Alyssa from my english class! Random! But it was good to see her! The girls and I had tons of fun in WM... It's funny how close we have gotten over the summer. I was worried when I came back from such an awesome experience at UCONN that it would never be the same between my girls and I from home. But now I remember: They knew me before I was who I am today. They helped to make me the way I am. It has been great getting close to them again... I know it will be tough leaving them again this year. Maybe not the production it was last year, but I already feel it. I will miss them tremendously.
Alright, bedtime... Catch you later! Oh, and check out Lisa's blog. I'll teach her how to use it soon!
