Subject: Training and Bad news all around
Training is going well. I am having more and more good running days. Consequently, I am more tired and need more time to cool down and relax after a run. Clearly having a busy schedule is a bad idea. I've been switching it up: I was running outside on a route for awhile, but then it snowed again, so I went back to the treadmill, then it got nice again (and all in the past 24 hours!!!!!) so I ran on the track. The roads are still a little iffy (there are random snow patches blocking sidewalks, for example... way to go UCONN) so I haven't gotten back to them yet. All in due time... my only major complaint is of a stiff left achilles/calf. It's just a bit tight. I had heat on it this afternoon so it should clear up soon enough.
As many of you know, I won't have housing in Hilltop next year (*sigh*) cause I am stupid. But things ended up working out and it looks like I am going to live with Kate and possibly Glenn, off campus. That means good and bad things: GOOD: no more paying this damn school for overpriced housing, one less tie to the university, and a little more independence. BAD: now commuting (blah), having to make rent payments on time, utility payments, and the laundry situation. But hey- I'm willing to do it. It might be a good time after all...
I have just come to the realization that I am DOMINATING over my 19 credits. From the records that I have been keeping (and I write EVERYTHING down), I should be getting all B+'s and A's for my final grades. Unless of course, I completely bomb the last few assignments. It's getting a little more stressful, for example, next week I have 5 things due (2 exams, 2 quizzes, and 1 project) and the week after I have 6 (2 long papers, 1 exam, 1 quiz, and 2 projects) but after that it will slow down again. I have been keeping myself busy, but I am proud of myself thus far. I never thought I could handle this much stuff.
There are all sorts of things going around in the child labs. For example: 5ths Disease, colds, fevers, flus, the whole kit-n-caboodle. Now if I could only avoid them for a few more weeks, I would be golden!
I should be getting a new cell phone tomorrow! Mine shit the bed about 2-3 weeks ago: the screen went entirely black and the front went blank. Originally, I could fix the problem by taking the battery out, or just shutting it off. Now, nada. So... new phone. I am kind of excited :) cause I like new things.
Tomorrow is also Lisa's 21st Birthday!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to go to Framingham and get her hammered with my girls from home!!! It is going to be a blast!!!
And Sunday is EASTER... so I am geared up for a huge lunch with my family and then millions of Cadbury Mini-Eggs (my OH SO favorite). Ahh, that would be the life. I love those little multicolored pieces of heaven.
On that note- back to the research articles. I'm only about knee deep in them now, compared to earlier. Wish me luck! ---HAPPY EASTER---
