Long day...
I woke up this morning at 5:45 to be into work at 6:45. Whew. I was tired before the kids got there, but once they arrived the day was in full swing. I did a lot of moving around rooms today. I was in each room for a considerable amount of time: older/younger toddlers and older/younger infants. I am still partial to my younger toddlers (I spend the most time with them normally) but I had a good time with the older infants as well. I got out at 2:00...
...to come home and PASS OUT on my bed! I only woke up once between 3 and 5:30, and that was when my dad came home. He left soon thereafter to go to the hospital to get a piece of fiberglass removed from his finger. This thing went in one side and out the other last night, but he still worked today. It was def. an inch and a half long. Yuck.
Tonight I babysat (OH YES, MORE CHILDREN!) for Brian and Johnathan. They were really good. It's a good thing, b/c I was worn down from the day with the kids. Brian Sr. "relieved" me at 11:30.
Tomorrow will be the council meeting at Mansfield Hollow at noon, and then home in the afternoon to get ready for the AEROSMITH concert tomorrow night with my mom. I am looking forward to the evening! My mom is in love with Steven Tyler. It should be a great show... and who knows, I might just see Shannon and Meagan while I am there! Sunday will be laundry (I have ignored it far too long as it is). Working Monday morning, and Tuesday night going to Warwick, RI to visit Joe!
One more thing while I am here: 17 DAYS! until the craziness resumes at UCONN! It is almost time to start packing! I was talking to Munchie about that this evening... the summer was going so slowly and now I am having trouble hanging on to what time I have left. And although I have my reasons, I guess that will teach me not to wish my time away...
I am exhausted. You might laugh at the song that has been in my head all afternoon, but I am going to quote it anyway...
Wynken and Blynken are two weary eyes, and Nod is a weary head...
