Yeah, so it's been a long time since I turned 20.
Probably too long to catch up on! So I'm just gonna pick up right here like I never left. :)
I finally finished signing up for next semester this morning. I have 18 credits... and a pretty crazy schedule. It's just really busy. Except for my Wednesdays and Fridays, which I am a little worried that they'll put me on at the child labs. I am definitely going to need some more time to do work with all the classes I am taking. Another W course... ugh... if I didn't have to, I certainly wouldn't. I just hope I have some free time on the side too.
Like I did this past weekend!!! I needed to get away from school (schoolwork and being sick, that is) so I took off to Gales Ferry for 3 days. It was fantastic. Jeff took care of me and we spent a ton of time together on the couch, napping and watching movies. And I even wrote my whole paper that is due on Wednesday while he was at work on Saturday night! I'm proud. Speaking of proud... Jeff had his first real structure fire a few weeks ago. And last night he fought a brush fire for about 6 hours. Crazy... he's a real firefighter! It's a little scary, cause it does tend to remind you about the dangers of the job (you know, the "fire" part) but I'm happy that he got to do those things. I know it makes him happy.
So about the sick thing... I finally went to the infirmary today, after a week of coughing. They put me on a nebulizer for 15 minutes, after which I thought I was going to pass out (you have the breathe really deep for 15 minutes and it tends to make you lightheaded and shaky) but after that I was given cough medicine with Codiene (ahhhh relief... sleep once again!) and an inhaler for the day. Rockin'... I just hope it works!
My project of turning over a new leaf has gone pretty well this semester. And I'd have to say, it has brought me into meeting some pretty awesome people. I'm learning more and more, and no one is really pressuring me into anything so it's nice. We'll see how it goes.
On that note, I will apologize for uhhh... the month in between the last posts. Maybe I'll have time to frequent the site more often. We'll see...
Peace out, y'all!
