Subject: The weekend. and my new favorite song.

Friday: You know a night is destined to be good when your sole mission for the night is to get drunk. Trish and I planned that on like Tuesday, and by Friday we were ready for it. I got there at 5:20, and we were well into our first glasses of wine by 5:30. At 6:30 we were pretty drunk and around 7:15 we were bombed. Yes, it really was just the two of us... Kate came for awhile in the middle, but she didn't stay with us (It really would have been fun to put 3 people in Chris' bed...) unfortunately. We did get some great pictures. Too bad we were not sober enough to realize that drunk dialing everyone we know is probably not a good idea. We drunk dialed a ton of people... A-Vo, Coffill, Matt Brown, Meg, Galina, Adam, AJ, Dan Fortin, Tim Fortin, Patrick (where Trish said f*ck in front of her mom for the first time), my Mom (yes like I said, we were not thinking very clearly), etc. You get the point. It was CRAZY. We seriously passed out by 11:00. I guess that's what happens when you start at 5:30?

Saturday: I woke up in a state of ecstasy in Chris' bed... that thing is so comfy! I could have stayed there all day. Luckily, Trish's grandma called and woke us up. We rolled out of bed and went to Bagelz in our pj's... complete with slippers... and then came back to the apt and watched Steel Magnolias. Trish found out Chris wasn't coming home and so we decided to go shopping later on. Kate and I went back to Tricia's after showers and work, and we went shopping... for banquet dresses, of course. ;) Ah, I <3 secrets. Anyway, we were out for awhile, then came back here and had Glenn over for dinner. We watched some Harry Potter, then Trish left. Kate went to bed while Glenn and I watched t.v., then Glenn left and I passed out. I was exhausted.

Sunday: Worked for 3 hours in the morning with my cute preschoolers at the church. :) I did schoolwork all day... silly fieldwork project... it's so long!!! By the time Kate got home, I had been isolated all day and had forgotten some common social boundaries! We watched some t.v. and then retreated to our rooms to work on our senior wills :( and went to bed soon thereafter.

Today: I went running...only 5 miles... I've been having some sort of pain in my left knee and hamstring, and I am hoping it will work itself out before the race on Thursday. I don't know if I can, but I am going to try to beat Tony... we'll see how that goes. ;) Tonight is dinner with our dads, I just don't know if mine is coming yet. We'll see... I also found out that my mom and Bill are coming to the game on Saturday, which means that my mom is seeing her first Huskies football game since we came to Rentschler... and it's only like her 6th time seeing the band since I've been at UCONN! I am terribly excited... even if it is a 3:30 game...

Till next time, here's part of my new favorite song:

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten...
