Subject: Update!

A few updates:
--Work is going really well. I think I have adjusted pretty well to working there. I like the people I work with and the kids are really great. Some days it gets crazy, but I know that it's a tough time right now for the program and they are working on making things smoother and easier. Other than that, the only thing I hate about it is the commute-- most days it is about an hour, and I can never stay awake during it. It's awful... so if I call you, PICK UP and talk to me so I don't die. :)
--I got little baby kitten Mia on Saturday! She is adorable and although we've had our share of spats so far, we're doing well together. It kills me when I leave the room and she cries her pathetic little kitten cry. :( It's very sad! Yesterday my Mom and I took her to the vet. About $140 later, we had a kitten with an upper respiratory/sinus infection, 2 prescriptions, and one bottle of Children's Benadryl (no I'm not kidding... she's like a child). So I have to give her these 3 things twice a day: one gel in the eyes which she really dislikes, one syringe of "amoxicillin" which she usually takes easily, and one syringe of Benadryl which I have YET to have to take the whole thing. She HATES it. But other than that- she's using the litter box :), she is very fun, and she definitely makes me very happy.
--My Dad and I are car shopping again... this time for a real car that won't suck down gas... I know if you're reading this, then you understand my love for my Jeep and my ambivalence about giving it up... but in the long run, this is the smart move to make, and I am POSITIVE that my green 2000 Sahara is not the last Jeep I will ever own. POSITIVE! But I'm still a little sad about it... :/
--Running is going alright. I'm having trouble finding the motivation lately... I am just so tired by the time I come home that all I want to do is collapse and relax. I ran about 4 today though, and it feels so good, and I know that... but unfortunately sometimes it is just hard to get out on the road... I did buy new running shoes though, which I LOVE. They are an updated version of my old ones, and they are really great. They're a little heavier than I am used to, but strangely it improved my time on the one route I have run with them. I love them. :) I think I am going to need trail runners for the RTB Relay though... speaking of...
--We've had a TON of team e-mails going around and that is so great! It is definitely easing my worries about running it. I am still worried about running the 3 long legs so close together, but I'm going to ask my teammates for help training for it. I'LL BE READY... TONY, I am fully expecting another blog entry dedicated to me ;) haha...

On that note, Mia and I are signing off. GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!
