Subject: When it rains, it POURS.
So... many of you have heard about my accident by now. It was August 3 at the intersection of 44 and that little side road near 195 (the name of which I don't know). A woman ran the stop sign doing 45 and crashed into my front driver's side, pushing me into a telephone pole and completely totalling my Jeep. Luckily, everything held up as it should have and my airbags saved me from being seriously hurt. I was definitely hurting, though, and took the ambulance ride strapped to a board with a collar on. A few hours and several X-rays and CAT scans in the hospital found nothing broken and only a pretty rough strain in my left shoulder, countless bumps and bruises, a lip split in 3 places, a burn on my arm, a cut on my hand, a burn on the left side of my face.................... and an injured spirit from losing the one true love of my life: my Jeep. :(
Two days later I moved with the help of Dad, Mom, James, Matt Girosky, and Joe. I appreciate it, and thanks so much!
Now I'm on the road to recovery- bruises are fading and the only thing that still hurts is my shoulder when I lift weights. It sucks and it's painful but I have to work through it to get ready for RTB in nearly a month... crazy. And I'm all moved in, things are starting to feel like home and it's really good.
I miss my Jeep like crazy... I'm driving my Mom's, but it's not the same. Hopefully a new car will be coming along very soon...
Thanks to everyone for sticking with me through all of this stuff... sunshine is coming my way!
