HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY, JACK JOHNSON!

Welcome to my pretty Blog!

I think I am turning into a real girl... maybe woman is the right word at my age.  My first hint was that I started to wear pink.  Then, I started to get really excited about things like shoes, new pastel sheets, featherbeds, blenders, and today I saw a facial spa and I thought it was something that I might want.  I even told Jeff about it!  I started using the word "cute" a lot.  I am favoring the color purple and that pretty mint green and who knows what comes next.  Bows in my hair?  Louis Vuitton handbags?  Mascara?  (I am just kidding... I do use mascara... but only on occasion!!)

The Pike people (like pod people... you would be surprised how much they don't differ) put me on entry today.  The most stimulating conversation I had at work was telling someone that exit 11A was 37 miles away.  I think I feel womanly today because I spent my day reading Better Homes & Gardens, Redbook, Bazaar and Parenting.  (Those were the only magazines in the booth, I swear)  Needless to say, I spent most of my day poring over Parenting.  It had all sorts of stuff on childrens' developmental rates and stages, and it was all very interesting to me.  I guess that is why I picked my major.  I'm very happy with it.  Granted, I haven't taken any classes yet, but I have a feeling that I have found my niche.  And not a social niche... not band, or KKPsi.  An occupational niche.  I really hope it works out for me.

Becky told me tonight that they started decorating the apartment.  I think "they" is her and Amanda, but I am not entirely sure.  Anyway... I am very excited!  It is going to be great.  Finally my own little space!  I am really looking forward to being able to decorate my own room.  I can finally hang up that picture that Schwab drew for me when I became a brother with my favorite quote on it.  That is pretty exciting.  I will probably make a trip down there the last week before preseason to drop off some stuff.  It would ease the moving part of moving day a bit.  I just don't want to clutter up their living room a month beforehand.  My point: I am very excited.  And it is all happening in a month!

I'd better get going.  Whoever heard of updating the blog daily?  Craziness.

Through sunlight or shadow, stay true to your own path.  I just have to find it first... I'm getting there.
