Subject: AWESOME. AWESOME. AWESOME!
I just had a really great 6.3 mile, hour-long run. It was awesome. I'm sad that I couldn't cover any more mileage but it's been awhile since I've done a "long run." **Can I just mention how much I am looking forward to running Boston's Run to Remember half marathon in March? I can't wait. I am hoping to do 2 or 3 halfs this year. 2006 is going to be a great year for running!!! I just wish someone would run it with me! It's the weekend after Katie, Munch, and I go to Texas, so I am a little worried about being tired and jet-lagged and not being able to run during Texas, but... at least I will be tapering by that time and so I won't have to worry about the latter.
Can I also mention how glad I am that I am not hung over anymore? I have to admit that my system is still thrown a little off... but OH MY... I have never been that sick ever... and I don't intend on it happening again! I admit that New Year's was not my highest point. And I do realize that they say you tend to spend the year the way you spend that night... in that case, you will find me in the School House living room with my head in a trash bag. Fun. Gonna be a great year!
This weekend ought to be... well, full of work kind of, but I'm kicking it off in a fun way tomorrow night- with Munchie at the movies to see 'Rumor Has It' with Jennifer Aniston in it. :) I love her! I am staying at her house (staying up really late and sleeping in... as long as she slips me the sleeping pill!! haha) and then working at the Pike :/ on Saturday from 2-10. Then Sunday morning I am at the church from 9:30-12:00 or so. I hope to relax a little on Sunday afternoon, do some pilates and stuff, but basically relax.
Ooh, fun story (which actually could have been a tragic story): I turned my bed to face another direction tonight, and I had to do a little bit of rearranging. As I was pulling stuff out from behind my bed, I pulled out my giant adidas gym bag... only to find holes literally burned in it from the heater. Oops. So all those things Mom and Dad ever said about not putting things against the heater were actually true? So I threw it out... but I am so damn lucky that I didn't burn down the apartment!! (Cause God only knows that Kate would have been parked in the fire lane and we would have been char broiled)
;)
