Feeling sick...]

Note to self: Next time lasagna sounds like a good idea at 10:00 at night, remember tonight...

Jeep update: AHHH! Joe, I hope you are happy! They were supposed to deliver it today (they called me yesterday to tell me so) but last night the truck blew the second transmission of the trip between Buffalo, NY and here. DAMN IT! So, no Jeep today. Plus it was a giant pain in the ass to get ahold of the people. I had so many things to do at UCONN today and I didn't get to do any of it b/c I had to wait for the damn Jeep people to call. As soon as my dad got home, I went running. I had to do something, b/c on top of the Jeep people making me wait around all day, my dad got a lawyer and has been a stressed out maniac for the past few days, and naturally taking it all out on me. I was so frustrated. So running was great. I felt the frustration (err, sweat) leaving my body as soon as I hit the road. I took a nap afterwards! My legs are pretty sore b/c I haven't run for awhile and just started again yesterday. It feels great, though. I am glad to be back at it.

I found out the name of Tony's nephew/Godson: Jack Paul Johnson. A warm welcome to the new baby boy! And Tony, I miss you!!

Home life has been a struggle lately. My dad has been stressed... which doesn't have pretty side effects for me. I want to live with my mom. Her and I used to have a great relationship, and I miss her terribly. Unfortunately, that's not an option right now... and my dad would never forgive me. I keep praying for that strength, and just when I think I have found it, something goes wrong and throws it off again. Wish me luck, I will need it for the next 26 days here at home...

Alright, Blogworld. Time for my real journal. Till next time...

adieu...

So Michigan didn't happen!

...And here is Kelly, in Southbridge for the week! I will be down at UCONN working on some council stuff (and there is a lot of it, too) and I will be here and there as well.

A couple of things today:

CONGRATULATIONS UNCLE TONY! I have yet to recieve details on this baby, but I'm sure Tony is a busy little bee! Very exciting...

Possible trip to visit Ian on Thursday-Friday with a couple others? We'll see...

Word on the Jeep: My dad informed me yesterday that it would take 7-10 business days to ship... Why didn't he tell me that last week?! So, it shipped last Monday, which means it could be here as early as tomorrow. Can I tell you how much that would ROCK? Oh, you know. Werd...

Almost crashed my Mom's Jeep today: Some woman in front of me in a pretty little black Ford Focus (which would have been attached to the front of my Jeep if I wasn't paying attention...) turned on her left blinker and slowed down, so I slowed down and started to pass her on the right. She then decided to turn off her signal and instantly turn right... Yes, into the area where I was trying to pass. I literally came inches from her. I could see this conversation with my Dad: "So, I crashed Mom's Jeep today... Is mine in yet?"

(*sigh*) I miss Munch...!

The new Matchbox 20 cd ROCKS. Definitely check it out!

Packing...

I didn't think I'd make it back here before I left! But, here I am nonetheless.

Yesterday was an adventure. Schwab and I finally made it to the council meeting about 45 minutes late (thanks for the great directions, Griff!) but they hadn't started yet (good!) so we didn't miss anything. I realized that in the next few weeks I have a ton of stuff to do in the grad office. I have a feeling I will be in there at least once a week, if not more. I have a huge to-do list, but I won't post it b/c I'm gonna scare myself! It will all get done!

Last night was the Trumpets in July show at my high school. My friend Julie (also from the Dirty South) is the drum major of the Spartans out of Nashua, NH. Julie's corps took first with East Coast Jazz 2 points behind them! Both put on a terrific show... the guard work was amazing. It was hard to believe that I saw 2 full shows with not a single drop! I was highly impressed once again. Good luck in the finals Jules!

Today, I am packing and getting last-minute things together. I have to do 2 loads of laundry at least, and go to CVS or Brooks or something and pick some things up. Maybe I'll just go to Wal Mart and get my pictures 1-Hour-ed and shop while I wait? Who knows. I am also going up to Jay's b/c him and Joe return to Providence tonight b/c they start classes tomorrow... SUCKERS! Tonight I will hopefully get to see Joe. We'll see!

Tomorrow, Kate and I will embark on our road trip: DESTINATION: Port Huron, Michigan! It will be a good time, though I have yet to work out Kate's parking situation. I'll make it work...

That brings me to now: Time to go and get things done! I hope you all have a fantastic week! See you when we return!

P.S. Munch, I miss you!
