Subject: Training/Life update

Bad news first I suppose: Hilltop is closing for the summer. That sucks... especially because now I don't have a place to live. Becky got an apartment at Norwegian Wood and School House has a few free bedrooms, but I am still pissed off. I moved in here to avoid the packing up and moving every few months thing. Well, once again, UCONN screws us over. I hate ResLife.

The gym was great over break... and now it SUCKS. Everyone is back, walking on the treadmills when they could be doing it outside. So I went to the gym today at about 3:45, expecting to get back in time for my 6:00 exam... only to find the gym packed. I was so pissed that I came back here and cried for about 2 minutes (I was pissed and kept wondering how the hell I am going to survive once I get into the 10 and 15 mile days...) and then I went running outside. I did a hell of a loop! I went out the back entrance to Hilltop, back out to 195, all the way up to the first entrance to Horsebarn Hill, around the hill (and oh yes, up at the end...), down 195, right onto North Eagleville, and left onto Stadium Drive. I stopped at the stop sign to cross the street and cooled down by walking up the hill back to Hilltop. I got back and was in the shower at 5:10. It took me roughly 42 minutes to finish the loop, give or take a few minutes. I felt awesome!

I am beginning to think that I can complete a 7-miler and not die. I'm even beginning to think I can complete a 13.1 half marathon and still be able to stand up. A full marathon is still a little (ok- a lot) beyond my realm of thinking... but it may become feasible as time passes.

CONGRATULATIONS KATE... OUR NEW NED PRESIDENT!!
I never though a Rhotard would someday be running our district... but damn I am proud! :)
Districts was a great experience. I wish I had been traveling to conventions this whole time... but it's never too late to start. I plan on going to Nationals this summer (hopefully I can audition and get my $115 fee WAIVED!) and hopefully I'll be taking plenty of road trips with other Delta O's. It really was great to be here this past week. I have no regrets... other than the fact that it snowed and I wasn't someplace warm!

I guess there is no other news besides F Hilltop, F the gym, I <3 style="color: rgb(255, 204, 0);">
