Subject: Excited!

Can I just say how excited I am to be running a half on Sunday?! Not that I think my performance is going to be amazing, but it's awesome to be a part of something bigger than myself once again. It's been about a month since my last race and I wasn't too happy with the result... it's good to be getting back into the game.

On Sunday...
I'll drive for an hour.
I'll meet up with 11 amazing people... some are running and some are recovering from marathons so they will be cheering.
I'll run for about 2 hours.
I'll burn about 1500 calories doing so.
I'll feel the terrific pain in my knees, ankles, shins, calves, quads, hammys, and (oh my gosh) ITB's,
I'll finish the race and pretend I feel okay.
I'll go out to eat and drink with my team.
I'll probably have one beer and be wasted due to the amount of "stuff" my body has lost during the day.
I'll drive another hour.
I'll be completely exhausted but...

I'll be happy and proud again. :)

Subject: Long time no write...

Updates:
-Started working at EMS- loving it. I'm meeting all sorts of awesome people who are into cool shit like climbing, snowshoeing, boarding, biking... seriously. I think the most intriguing is the climbing-- because I know NOTHING about it but I'm really interested. Can't wait to start learning. What better way to learn than with the best?! Seriously, these people are great.

-Turned 22... The kids and staff at TC4 made my day really fun and then at night Trish, Chris and I went out to dinner at Outback :) It was great. And Trish and I have been spending more time together, which is amazing because I have missed her!!

-Work is going well... crazy, but manageable. Some days are better than others...

-Munchie and I spent this weekend together which was SO GREAT. I have MISSED that girl like it's my job... it used to be so easy to get together, but now she's like 2 hours away and I MISS HER SO MUCH. :( But it was great to see her yesterday- we went shopping and then went to Tony's show (Guys and Dolls) last night... it was great.... I miss her. :(
