Subject: Back in the game!

So I ran a 10K today in Sturbridge... it was the race to benefit my Mom's company (RRI) and we had a great turnout. This is a really small race, and this year it was giant compared to past years- 150 runners! This was my first ever 10K- and I fell in love with the distance. Every distance is different and I like each of them for different reasons. I was really nervous to run it because I've never done it before. I just figured I had to go out faster than my half marathon but slower than my 5K... I guess that worked out well!

The best part about the day was that it was DOWNPOURING rain for the majority of the race. Some of us were joking around that running in the rain is just a way to make us feel tougher. It's true!!

So now I'm out of my running funk, you know, the one that leaves me not wanting to run. I'm really looking forward to the next 2 weekends- race weekends again!! I'm staying with Lynn next Saturday night and running with her on Sunday morning, then the weekend after is a trail race (my first one) with our RTB team :) :) I'm really happy that I'm going to be seeing them so much! I need to sign up for a few more races after those 2, but then I have to get more serious about the Monson half marathon. That weekend is going to be so awesome because I'll get to see almost my ENTIRE RTB team--- I CAN'T WAIT!

Running is my life.

I'm SO happy... SO HAPPY!!
